Bio

Christian Berg Gravningen (b. 1989) belongs to the younger generation of painters who are revitalizing painting as a means of expression. In his expressive and direct works, he draws inspiration from his immediate surroundings, experiences, and memories. These may include flower bouquets, apartment buildings, winter landscapes, portraits, or images from film and photography. Everything is rendered in a free and unpretentious manner, marked by an observant presence.
